Encore Farm is a tribute to fresh starts and new beginnings at any age.

 

After careers as a bread baker, legal advocate, day care mom, and construction carpenter, I launched a midlife "second act" as a farmer.  Though I didn't grow up on a farm, don't own acreage, and never even thought of myself as a gardener, I nonetheless have always been drawn to a self-sufficient and handmade life.  I specialize in heirloom varieties of edible dry beans, raised by hand using organic and sustainable  practices.

 

Currently I live in St. Paul with my husband Jim, who helps me farm, and our border collie Eli who doesn't.
